Aquaculture certificate: Licence issued under the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry framework authorising a facility to breed a listed species up to a capacity ceiling. Suluk Sepeti’s source: certificate 46-86. More →
Batch code: Lot identifier assigned at allocation; printed on labels and the packing list; checkable online. More →
Broodstock: Mature animals (2.0 g+) kept or sold for reproduction and research; not a routine stock class. More →
BSGM: Balıkçılık ve Su Ürünleri Genel Müdürlüğü — Directorate General of Fisheries and Aquaculture, which announces the annual wild-collection export quota. More →

Ex-works (EXW): Incoterm under which the price covers goods made available at the supplier’s premises; freight, permits and import costs are separate. More →

Hirudin: Thrombin-inhibiting polypeptide in Hirudo saliva; the best-known leech-derived molecule. More →
Hirudo medicinalis: European medicinal leech (Linnaeus, 1758); the name historically applied to most traded leeches. More →
Hirudo sulukii: Species described from Türkiye in 2016; named in the Turkish guideline, not a commercial aquaculture species. More →
Hirudo verbana: Mediterranean / south-eastern European medicinal leech (Carena, 1820); the species reared and supplied by Suluk Sepeti. More →

Lot / party (parti): Turkish “parti” = lot. A quantity allocated, sorted and labelled together under one batch code. More →

Packing list: Shipment document listing boxes, animals per box and class per box; mirrors the physical packing. More →
Pilot lot: Small evaluation shipment priced to cover fixed permit and packaging cost. More →
Quota (wild collection): Annual kilogram limit for wild-collected medicinal leech exports announced by BSGM; aquaculture output is outside it. More →
RFQ: Request for quotation — the international orders form. More →
Single use: Principle that a leech is used for one patient once and then disposed of under medical-waste rules; Suluk Sepeti does not take animals back. More →
Source code (CITES): Letter on a permit indicating origin, e.g. W = wild, C = captive-bred, F/R = other captive/ranched categories as assessed by the authority. More →
